Musketeers Take 2-0 Series Lead

April 20, 2024 - The Sioux City Musketeers topped the Lincoln Stars, 3-1, in Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals on Saturday night at the Ice Box. The loss pushes the Stars to the brink of elimination in the best-of-five series. Matthew Maltais scored Lincoln's lone goal at the 9:58 mark of the second period. His shot from just inside the blue line marked his second goal of the postseason and cut the deficit to 2-1 9:58 into the second period. Stars' Comeback Falls Short in Game 1

April 20, 2024 - The Lincoln Stars dropped Game 1 of the second round of the 2024 Clark Cup Playoffs, 3-2, to the Sioux City Musketeers on Friday night at the Ice Box. Jack Pechar scored twice in the final 2:24 to bring the Stars within one goal. Pechar leads Lincoln with three goals this postseason. "It definitely generates some momentum," Pechar said. Shostak Earns USHL Goaltender of the Week

April 19, 2024 - The United States Hockey League (USHL) announced Monday that Stars goaltender Yan Shostak has been named the Goaltender of the Week for the first round of the 2024 Clark Cup Playoffs. Shostak stopped 40 shots in Game 1 to help the Stars shut out the Waterloo, 1-0. The win not only gave the Stars a series-opening victory, but also marked Shostak's first career USHL shutout. He followed it up by stopping 39 shots in Game 2 and taking a shutout into the final few minutes of regulation. The Minsk, Belarus native went 20-18... Full Story
